There is a kind of black that is not absence but discipline. The Notte Ultrathin is finished in that black — case, bezel, bracelet, dial — broken only by the silver thread of a hand and the quiet rake of a vertical-brush sunburst. Black is not a colour. It's a process.
Two brushing passes, then PVD. Eighteen hours in a temperature-controlled cure. The result is a black that holds its depth from any angle — never washed out, never reflective like a screen.
Vertical-brush sunburst. Black on black.
The dial is brushed in vertical lines under the PVD layer, so light rakes across it in stripes — almost charcoal in shade, ink-black in shadow. Silver applied indices and dauphine hands are the only thing on the dial that catches the room.
110 grams of stealth.
Integrated black bracelet, hidden butterfly clasp, no exposed buckle. The Nero disappears under a dark cuff and resurfaces against a white one — the punctuation mark for whatever you're wearing.
Citizen Miyota 1L22. Honest quartz.
Japanese-engineered quartz, ±20 sec/month, sealed behind sapphire with anti-reflective coating. The kind of movement you forget — which, for a 6 mm watch, is exactly the point.
Atelier / DraftRibbed matte black
The ribbed dial pattern in draft. Horizontal lines catch the light in thin stripes — the watch reads black in the pocket, and comes alive on the wrist.

The same atelier that brushes our Verde brushes the Nero — but the blackout finish demands a second pass with a finer grit, then a hand-applied PVD coating that takes 18 hours to cure. Skip a step and the dial reads grey, not black. Done right, the watch reads like an ink stroke on a Florentine ledger: deliberate, quiet, unmistakably hand-made.
