The Portfolio.
We wanted to publish the whole portfolio on one long page — not because the internet still respects long pages, but because a watch is not a thumbnail. It is a small object photographed slowly, described in full sentences, printed on paper that shows the grain. This issue treats the catalogue the way an old print magazine would: cover story, features, portfolio spreads, and a closing note. Everything in here is for sale. Nothing in here is on sale.
Five salutes on the wrist.
The house's Emirati chapter — a rose-gold Union piece for 1971, a signet dial for the seven, a jacaranda dial for Al Ain in bloom, a hand-engraved silver portrait for Sheikh Mohammed, and the numbered Zayed. Each is limited, each is drawn locally, each carries a story that only makes sense inside the seven emirates.
Six millimetres of Vicenza.
Four dials, one atelier. The ultrathin quartet — bottle green, ocean blue, midnight black, Bordeaux red — hand-finished in the same northern Italian workshop, four generations deep. Each colour laid in three translucent coats over a vertical-brushed base, sanded back between passes until the light holds true depth from every angle. The kind of finishing that only survives where the habit of doing it properly is older than the machinery.
The small watch, drawn full-size.
Amor is the shortest sentence in the portfolio: a rectangular yellow-gold case, twelve Roman numerals, a single cabochon ruby set into the crown. Nothing else. It was designed the way old letters were written — slowly, and by hand.
A Japanese heartbeat under Italian steel.
The Argento is the mechanical entry to the atelier — an automatic movement wound by the wrist, sealed under the same polished 316L case that carries the ultrathin quartet. For anyone who wants the finishing without the battery.
Two houses. One dial.
Nine 11 partners with houses whose obsession runs parallel — Porsche's motorsport archive for the GT Edition, and a Japanese anime studio for the polycarbonate Tumi. Different worlds, same discipline: make the smallest thing right.
The watch you don't see coming.
Crimson-stitched, black on black on black. Phantom closes the issue the way a dinner jacket closes a Saturday — quietly, and finally.
